Our client is a technology business in London. They are seeking a commercial legal counsel from either practice or In-House. They have previously established home working policies of 3 days a week and would be open to Part-time applicants (4 days a week)

Role

We are currently seeking a UK Legal Counsel to join our clients In-house team. This is an exciting time as the business continues to grow and evolve and a great opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of legal matters and take ownership for your workload. Reporting into the GC, and working in a small, highly experienced, and well-regarded team, you will be dealing with all aspects relating to the business, building strong relationships, and balancing pragmatic commercial solutions with sound legal advice and support.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and support the business on a broad range of legal matters including technology, outsourcing, commercial law, intellectual property, and data.
• Support the development and implementation of strategic platforms, initiatives, and all other business objectives.
• Support the business in its contract negotiations and drafting, providing sound advice, and leading projects as required focused on business objectives.
• Gain a deep understanding of the business objectives and process to help develop close internal relationships as a business partner.

Skills and Qualifications

• A qualified solicitor with good commercial/corporate experience. The role would suit candidates with 3+ years PQE, either from practice and/or in-house.
• Core experience in commercial law, with experience in IT, data protection, marketing, or intellectual property useful to the role.
• A highly confident Legal Counsel that thrives in an open personable environment.
• Proactive at developing internal business relationships.
• Driven to continually develop professional knowledge and skills.
